How do I delete a location?

Deleting a location (Web Dashboard)

  1. On the homepage, open the More options menu next to Add Location, then click Manage Locations.
  2. Find the location you need to delete and click the edit (pencil) button on its row.
  3. Click Delete Location, then confirm.

Admins can delete an organization location (What are user permissions?). Deleting one unsubscribes every user from it, clears any alert currently active on it, and removes its policy connections. If the location is in a delay, deleting it clears the delay.

Note: If a hardware unit is installed at the location, you will need to detach the hardware first. If the location feeds a widget, a webhook or a sign-up form, repoint or remove those connections first.

Deleting a custom location (web dashboard)

  1. On the homepage, find the location you want to delete.
  2. Click Settings on the location card. If you have the location open in the focused view, click the edit (pencil) icon instead.
  3. Click Delete Location, then confirm.

You can delete any custom location you added yourself. Deleting a custom location is permanent.

Deleting a location in the mobile app

  1. On the Locations tab, tap the location you want to delete to open Location Details.
  2. Tap the three-dots menu at the top of the screen.
  3. Tap Delete. The location is removed immediately, without a confirmation step.

If the location belongs to your organization, this removes it from your own Locations tab and leaves it in place for everyone else. To put a location back, see Adding Locations on the Mobile App.

Deleting My Location

My Location follows your device, and you remove it by turning location tracking off.

  1. Tap the Settings tab at the bottom right of the app.
  2. Scroll to the Location Tracking section.
  3. Select Disabled. The change saves immediately, and My Location disappears from your Locations tab.
